About PSB University – Cambodia
Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University (PSB University) was founded by His Holiness Samdech Preah Abhisiri Sugandha Mahasangharajah Dhipati Kitti Udessa Pandita Bour Kry, the Great Supreme Patriarch of the Dhammyutta Order in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Initially established as Preah Sanghareach Bour Kry Buddhist High School within the Svay Pope Monastery in Phnom Penh, the school served as a vital educational institution for students who had completed their secondary studies.
Recognizing the need for higher education tailored to the needs of impoverished students, particularly novice monks of the Dhammyutta Order, His Holiness envisioned a new institution that would address this gap. As a result, PSB University was officially established on July 24, 2007, under Sub-Decree No. 86, and was later accredited by the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC).
Named by His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia and directed by Samdech Preah Moha Sanghareach Bour Kry, the current Supreme Patriarch of the Dhammyutta Order, PSB University has since become a beacon of education. By 2020, the university had proudly graduated 954 students, continuing its mission to provide accessible and quality education to all.
