Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University is committed to:
• Encouraging and Guiding Education: Providing high-quality education that emphasizes moral and ethical values while meeting the needs of students in various fields.
• Managing and Expanding Research: Promoting and managing research initiatives that contribute to academic knowledge and societal development.
• Building Relationships and Cooperation: Establishing and nurturing partnerships with national and international organizations with similar objectives to enhance educational and research opportunities.
Our functions and duties are designed to fulfill these goals and support our mission of fostering academic and ethical growth.
Functions and Duties of Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University:
1. Strengthening Teaching and Learning: Enhancing the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning processes to ensure academic excellence.
2. Enhancing Capacity: Improving the capacity of professors and the learning quality of students, as well as the efficiency of officers and staff.
3. Connecting Theory to Practice: Increasing student activities that link theoretical knowledge to practical application, fostering compassion, mindfulness, and wisdom in real-world contexts.
4. Promoting Research: Broadening the scope and impact of student research initiatives.
5. Improving Management and Leadership: Strengthening management practices, leadership, and teaching quality, while encouraging students to engage in rigorous academic study.
6. Implementing Educational Vision: Carrying out tasks assigned by the Ministry of Cult and Religion and the National Inspectorate of Buddhist Studies to support and advance the university’s educational vision for the benefit of the nation, religion, and monarchy.
7. Increasing Cooperation: Enhancing collaboration in educational research with ministries, institutions, and national and international organizations with aligned goals.
8. Providing Comprehensive Education: Offering programs at various levels, including Associate Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees, and Doctoral Degrees.
9. Protecting Educational Values: Contributing to and collaborating on efforts to safeguard education in both Buddhism and social sciences.
10. Evaluating Academic Work: Reviewing and assessing research papers, practicum portfolios, dissertations, and theses to ensure academic rigor and integrity.
11. Expanding Facilities: Planning and developing additional university buildings to support growing academic and research needs.
