The founder of Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University envisions instilling a culture of peace, humanism, tolerance, and harmony in contemporary society, rooted in the teachings of the Buddha. By integrating these teachings into higher education, the university aims to foster understanding, solidarity, and compassion among individuals within society, while also promoting more tolerant and friendly relations among all people.
The primary goal of the university is to cultivate a new generation of well-educated human resources, proficient in both general and technical skills, as well as deeply knowledgeable in Buddhist principles and values. The university is dedicated to preserving Buddhism, along with Khmer culture and traditions, while providing the intellectual foundation necessary for the development of modern Khmer society.
Recognizing the significant needs of the nation, Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University is committed to playing a vital role in the country’s reconstruction and intellectual revival. With the determination and capacity to contribute to this mission, the university aims to train and equip individuals with the knowledge and skills required in both Buddhist spiritual sciences and modern technologies.
