The Faculty of Pali Sanskrit & Foreign Language brings together the study of classical languages and contemporary international communication. It reflects PSBU’s commitment to preserving and understanding the linguistic and cultural traditions of the region while equipping students with the language skills needed to participate confidently in an increasingly interconnected world.
The faculty offers programmes in English Language and Sanskrit, providing students with opportunities to develop linguistic competence while exploring the cultural, historical and intellectual traditions associated with these languages.
English plays an increasingly important role in international education, business, diplomacy, tourism and professional communication. Students studying English at PSBU are therefore encouraged to develop practical communication abilities alongside broader cultural awareness and an understanding of international contexts.
The study of Sanskrit provides an important pathway into the linguistic and intellectual heritage of South and Southeast Asia, including the historical and cultural traditions that have influenced Buddhist thought and Cambodian society.
