Summary of SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth

Goal 8 promotes inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all. The global economy needs to create 470 million jobs by 2030. It encourages policies that support innovation, entrepreneurship, and the formalization of jobs in all sectors. The goal also stresses the importance of improving working conditions and promoting youth employment.

  • Entrepreneurship Centers: Create innovation hubs and business incubators that support students and alumni in developing small businesses and startups, fostering job creation and economic growth.
  • Job Placement Programs: Partner with local industries to create job placement programs and internships that offer students hands-on experience and improve their employability.
